Verrado HOA RV & Boat Parking Rules, Explained
If you just got a courtesy notice — or you're about to buy an RV, boat, or trailer and want to know the rules first — here's what the Verrado Community Association (VCA) governing documents actually say, in plain English.
What The Rule Says
The VCA Rules prohibit, unless the Board expressly authorizes otherwise: "Parking of commercial vehicles or equipment, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, golf carts, boats and other watercraft, trailers, stored vehicles, or inoperable vehicles in places other than enclosed garages..." — Verrado Community Association Rules, Section 1(a)
In short: if it's an RV, boat, watercraft, or trailer, it needs to live inside an enclosed garage — not in your driveway, not on the street, and not behind a side gate.
The One Exception: 24 Hours to Wash and Clean
The same rule allows these vehicles to be parked in your driveway "for a period not to exceed 24 hours as reasonably necessary to allow it to be washed and cleaned." So you can bring your RV home to load up before a trip or hose it down after — but it can't stay overnight into a second day.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
- Your neighborhood may have additional rules. Verrado is a master-planned community with village and sub-association layers. Some neighborhoods have rules stricter than the master association's. When in doubt, check with the VCA office or your sub-association before assuming the master rule is the whole story.
- Rules can be amended. The language above comes from the VCA's published rules; always confirm the current version with the Verrado Community Association directly.
- "Enclosed garage" is the standard. Most Verrado garages won't fit a travel trailer, boat on a trailer, or Class A/C motorhome — which is exactly why dedicated storage exists.
Your Options if it doesn't fit in the garage
Realistically, there are two: store it outside the community, or sell it. For most owners, the answer is secure storage a few minutes from home.
